How do I save information to a USB flash drive and how do I know what port I'm plugged into?

I'm trying to save down loadable information from a web page to a USB flash drive and am having trouble getting the task completed. I'm a complete novice and I can't even find Help information regarding this issue. Somebody please help me, this is crucial to a job I'm trying to complete.How do I save information to a USB flash drive and how do I know what port I'm plugged into?When you plug in the USB device give your computer a minute to "think." It should run an Auto Play function, if/when an auto play window opens it will give you multiple options. One of which is to "Open folder to view files." Or something along those lines anyway. You can also open up "My Computer" and look for one of the drives that has something plugges into it. It could be a number of ports on your comptuer. When you download the files you want on your computer, all you have to do is have the folder that they are in and the usb folder windows right next to eachother. You can left click and hold on the files you want and drag them to the usb window, by dropping them in that window you have copied them onto the usb device. When you're done you should be able to right click in the backround of the usb folder and click properties, look for an eject option or something like that. That way your computer knows you're done and will save the device as necessary.How do I save information to a USB flash drive and how do I know what port I'm plugged into?well insert pen drive into usb port:



1) highlight the files you want to send to the flash drive. / or click

2) right click on the files selected and choose sent to and choose the flash drive which will have a letter next to it..

3) take out flash drive

go to the web page and click file save page as and make the target the flash drive

dont click open click save, then choose a location where to save it from the dropdown menu above and choose usb flash located in my computer
