What opportunities are for me in military service?

Hey! After reading a little about me(below) could you tell me some options if I wanted to join the military (any branch).

I'm 22y/o and have been in college for four years. However I've lived in China for one and a half years studying as a International student (studying Chinese only). I speak Chinese and can read and write basic Chinese. My major back home is Economics and coming to China to study Chinese has only helped me broaden my horizons and teach me Chinese. When I return to school this fall I will be right where I left, halfway through my junior year with probably two more years of school left %26gt;_%26lt;

I love America, since high school I wanted to serve her. While I don't agree with everything the government does I want to help my country and make it a better place. I am willing to die for this country, to see her stronger and better in the world.

I'm in good shape (used to be great shape) love swimming and in high school was on my varsity swimming team for four years. At home in America I've also held part-time work in construction, local city street department, and fast food (Fazolis). Since living in China have I not only studied but spent A LOT of time working; teaching Chinese and Korean students English and most importantly my American culture ^_^

Kinda lengthy I know, and if you need more details before you answer just PM/email me, email should be on my profile.What opportunities are for me in military service?
dang dude, i dont know about many other branches besides my own, but before that. you could look into working for the FBI, the chinese will be a big thing there. i mean how many americans with a degree know chinese? plus the starting salary is pretty good. i only know because im going to be a CJ major and one of my future professors was telling me about it as he was a former agent. and you`ll be serving your country very largly in the FBI. i`d give it a look if i was in your boat. now as far as the military goes. im a private, E-1 in the US Army PA national Guard, the lowest of low, the scumiest maggot there is. but what people dont know is. yes im i private and im evryones ***** in the guard. but in civi world. im enrolled in a small private college in PA and the guard pays 100% tuition. so im cool. in your case. the Guard would be able to pay off up to $50,000 of your student loans off at the same time giving you a steady job/pay check. given your major and background you may want to look into public affairs. but theres oer 200 job to choose from. and the National Guard is also seen as a part time job so you`d be able to do the one weekend a month and 2 weeks during the summer, plus being able to hold another job. thats 2 paychecks every month. plus any branch of military on a resume will put your ahead of any civi. you will probably hear or maybe already think the national Guard is just a bunch of *******. but with everything that they give does it really matter what other people think? i just put some breif stuff about the guard down. if you`d like to know more you could check out their cite, talk to a local recruiter on merely an informational basis, or e-mail me back at joeonion99@yahoo.com . best of luck.What opportunities are for me in military service?

Question one: are you a US citizen?

If so you may be eligible for several different areas enlisted and officer should you choose to persue that route. the Language training helps, ( but only for Enlisted as there are no Officer Linguists).

the degree isn't that needed or wanted BUT if you can spin it properly you are looking at a future possibly in FAO(Foreign Area Officer). now granted that is not initial entry, but you could be working towards that.

research all five Branches and see which is the best fit for your personality wise. then talk to the right kind of recruiter( the Navy uses seperate ones for Officers)
