How fast do hard drives read information compared to how fast they write?

I imagine it takes more to write than to read, but I don't know. Anyone have any information that can clear this up?How fast do hard drives read information compared to how fast they write?According to the article (link attached) the read / write is determined by the speed of the disk rotation and data is transferred either by the read heads or the write heads. So speed would depend on how many heads and at what speed the disc spins. It appears the actual read / write if heads were equal would also be equal in speed.
