How come my credit card was denied when I know the information is correct?

There should be another why of verifying someones age without using a credit card for someones birth information. I think asking for a birthdate would be good enough. People start wondering about how come my credit card information is needed. How come my credit card was denied when I know the information is correct?right wing conspiracyHow come my credit card was denied when I know the information is correct?
Your question is not clear....explain or just get to the point. How come my credit card was denied when I know the information is correct?Sometimes it's the person inputting the info. Sometimes its computer error...How come my credit card was denied when I know the information is correct?
there is so much fraud anymore. they have to be certain

i dont like it either. it is a necessary evil

I have been the victim of fraud.

I appreciaate the extra security! How come my credit card was denied when I know the information is correct?I don't really understand what you mean. I've never heard of using a credit card to verify age. If your credit card was denied, it was probably because you are either maxed out, haven't paid your bill on time or had too many transactions and they are questioning the usage. How come my credit card was denied when I know the information is correct?
There is another way,I never have to show a credit card or birth certificate..your drivers Licence should be enough to prove your age...you can also apply for an indentification card and that will work too....you can get an ID card from the drivers license place where you get your drivers license...How come my credit card was denied when I know the information is correct?
It's actually pretty simple---

You can't be an actual account holder for a credit card unless you're 18, because you can't be held liable for the charges until you're 18. Being a credit card holder makes you party to a contract with the credit card company, and you can't be party to a contract without being a legal adult.

If you are a credit-card holder, someone out there has already taken your SSN and birthdate, and run a credit check, and knows everything about you but your underwear size and maybe even that.

By pinging your credit card, they ensure that you are old enough to enter into a user contract (remember those Terms and Conditions?) and can be held liable for your actions, so that if you use their resources and do something BAD, you're responsible, not them.

Would you rather have them take your name, address, SSN, date of birth, prior addresses for three years, etc., then take time to process the application before you have access to services? Or would you rather they take 10 freakin' second to ping your credit card to make sure you're on the up and up, so that 2 minutes after you started, you can get on with it?

What's funny is that people are all paranoid about giving this information, which is being requested because the company that's asking for it is forced to be paranoid because they're being held accountable for the actions of others.
There is...Birth Certificate, Driver's License, Passport....the list goes on
