What information do you need to call an ARMY Hospital to check on a patient?

My boyfriend is in the Army and is currently in the hospital with a concussion and possible brain damage. I have not been able to contact him since finding this out. I am very worried and would like to call the hospital, but I'm not sure what information I need. Anyone with any knowledge of this, PLEASE help me. What information do you need to call an ARMY Hospital to check on a patient? You may call the hospital with his name, but unless he signed a release of info form upon entering the hospital, all they will be allowed to tell you is that he is there. It may take a family member (such as the legal next-of-kin) to actually get any useable information. What information do you need to call an ARMY Hospital to check on a patient?you will not be told anything. HIPPA applies here.. you can be told nothing of his condition unless you are a spouse or parent or authorized in a Medical POA. What information do you need to call an ARMY Hospital to check on a patient? All you need is his name. They will inevidable tell you his ward too. They should... They might not tell you how long he's been there, but they'll tell you the ward, 99%.
