How do i get information about an Airman in Iraq, hopefully on the internet?

I'm try to find out information about a friend in the Air Force over in Iraq right now. Hopefully i can find information on the internet if possibleHow do i get information about an Airman in Iraq, hopefully on the internet?that information is not for public dissemination. Your only recourse is to contact a family member to see if they would be willing to give you any info. The military will not.How do i get information about an Airman in Iraq, hopefully on the internet? You contact him or his family and ask them. the military does not just list our information on the Internet for security reasons. If you are truly a friend then ask his family. How do i get information about an Airman in Iraq, hopefully on the internet?Nope. You won't be able to find anything. You can try to email him at:

You need to e-mail the individual if you really want information about him/her.

If you know the unit, then you might be lucky and that unit may have a public web site with a family newsletter. But most of those are put on the Defense Knowledge Online now so all valid family members can see it, but not the general public or various persons in eastern pakistan.

And yes, we are all hooked on instant knowledge (look at the web site we are on now!!) but if you really want to do something nice for your friend WRITE A LETTER. Real paper, maybe with some real chocolate chip cookies attached, makes a very real impact on morale.

So talk to his/her family, get an address and write a letter. Bonus points for including a self-address return envelope (no stamps -- postage not required from a combat zone) and you may get a nice letter back.

Good luck!
