Where can I find simple beginners information on how to choose and buy a car?

Im looking into buying my first car. I need something that will give me enough easy information that i can make a good decision on my own. But not too much detail that i feel overwhelmed. I have not ever known much about cars. Honestly if you were looking for opinion's I would ask a friend/family member or ask around. People are usually pretty good about helping you form some opinions of your own with cars.
